One question that I frequently get asked about the scope and responsibilities of Product Operations is “Well isn’t that the Product Manager’s responsibility?” or “Don’t you have this other department that should do that?” followed up with “Do we really need it and isn’t having it creating complexity?”. Shockingly, the answer to all those questions is YES, but that answer just scratches the surface, so let’s elaborate.
